General Information: Practices for 7th and 8th grade start the first day of school on Tue. Aug. 30th after school. The season runs until Oct. 27th. Teams are formed on a grade level basis. Tackle football is for 7th and 8th graders only. 6th graders play flag football and practices will start on Tuesday, Sept. 5th after school.
Athlete Responsibilities: Students must complete all athletic paperwork before they will be allowed to practice. Athletes must provide their own molded plastic cleats and mouth guard. 12 practices are required before the athlete can compete in a game. Students must be passing all classes to compete in league games. 6th graders must be passing five of their seven classes to compete.
When is practice: 7th & 8th grade teams usually practice daily 3:00-5:00 pm. at Foothills. Parents need to pick up athletes by 5:30 PM each night. 6th grade teams practice five days a week from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at Foothills.
When are games: 7th and 8th grade teams usually have 5 or 6 league contests. Game days vary depending on grade. Games usually begin at 5:00 p.m. 6th grade will have 2 Jamborees at the end of the season.
Transportation: Buses will take students to all off site games. Buses will return students to Foothills from all out of district games for 7th and 8th graders. All 6th grade games are in District and parents need to pick them up at the site.
Team Pictures: Team pictures are after school. Information will be given to students the week of pictures.
