OCDE Project GLAD®

Summary

As Agency Trainers for our district, our role is to grow the OCDE Project GLAD® model and support GLAD® implementation in grades K-12.  We work with teachers,coaches and administrators. We provide Tier I trainings, develop structures to support implementation and provide modeling and coaching of the OCDE Project GLAD® strategies, all while supporting district initiatives.  Our Tier I trainings have been held at a variety of schools, and have included all levels.  We host at least 1 elementary and 1 secondary Tier I OCDE Project GLAD® training each year, in addition to a summer training.  Our feedback from district staff, as well as out of district staff, is very positive.     

As we support teachers in their implementation of OCDE Project GLAD® strategies, we create and model strategies within their classroom, with their own students, in their own content areas.  We’ve supported teachers K-12, in all content areas.  We’ve been able to show teachers how and why they should implement OCDE Project GLAD® strategies to enhance their district chosen curriculum.  We are committed to creating the highest quality materials to model strategies for our teachers.
