Information about the presenters:
Dr. Greg Benner is a Professor of Education at the University of Washington Tacoma and Executive Director of the UWT Center for Strong Schools (CSS). He specializes in preventive approaches for meeting the academic and social/emotional needs of students, particularly those with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD).
Dr. Joshua Garcia currently serves the students, staff and community as the Deputy Superintendent of the Tacoma Public Schools. In this role Joshua’s teams lead a number of ground breaking reform initiatives.
Dr. Jennifer Kubista is the Director of Student Life serving as one of Tacoma School District’s leads for the Whole Child Initiative. Jennifer’s values and passion continue to focus on the development and education of the Whole Child, ensuring each child has the opportunity to participate in a school community that is healthy, safe, engaged, supportive and prepares students for success in the global community of the 21st century.
