Mr. Dale Blair, MS, ATC, CSCS
Mr. Blair holds certifications as an athletic trainer (NATA), strength and conditioning specialist (NSCA), and health/fitness instructor (ACSM). In addition to Online Health, he also teaches Sports Medicine/Practicum, and Fitness Specialist/Practicum at Wenatchee High School . Mr. Blair was inducted into the Northwest Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame in 2006. He is also the head athletic trainer for Panther athletic teams. He previously served as the Director of Sports Medicine for eight years at the Wenatchee Valley Clinic Sports Medicine Center. He has also served on the sports medicine staffs of the Philadelphia Eagles Football Club, the 1984 Summer Olympic Games and the 1990 Goodwill Games.
Mr. Brown, MaEd
Ron Brown is the coordinator for the Wenatchee Internet Academy. He is the founder and originator of the Wenatchee Internet Academy. Ron organizes our online learning environment and trains the teaching staff. His official title is Director of Instructional Technology and Assessment for the Wenatchee School District. He was a teacher at Pioneer Middle School for 10 years in the technology lab.
Agriscience and Biology
Mrs. Hammerberg’s interest in agriculture began while growing up on a hobby farm near Arlington, Wash. Alongside her parents, Mrs. Hammerberg raised everything from trout to cattle, including pigs, sheep, horses and chickens. She decided to attend Washington State University after going there for the FFA State Convention one year, and was ready for the classroom following graduation in 2002. She has been teaching at Wenatchee High School since 2004 and serves as one of four FFA advisors. Mrs. Hammerberg tries to implement hands-on activities in all of her classes, and requires her students to complete a project related to the agriculture industry. Typical projects include part-time jobs, community service and job shadows.
Brandon is a Social Studies teacher at WHS. From 2001-2005 he taught in the WHS Business Education Department. 2006-2007 Mr. Harle taught Social Studies at Chelan High School. He graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1993, Wenatchee Valley College in 1995, Central Washington University with a B.A. in Social Studies/History in 1998 and from City University in 2000 with a M.A. in Ed. Tech. Mr Harle is an assistant football coach(Special Teams Coordinator) at WHS where he was selected as the 2010 Washington State Coaches Association District VI Assistant Coach of the Year. Mr. Harle is also Senior Class Advisor who prepares and leads the annual Graduation Ceremony. He teaches CWP, AP US History, and Online United States History at WHS. In his free time he loves spending time with his wife, Karissa (teaches 7th grade at Pioneer Middle School), and his two kids, Olivia and Owen.
Contemporary World Problems
Mr. Jagla is teaching social studies in the same high school he attended. He received his college education because of athletics. It is the main reason he decided to become an educator. Coaching football, wrestling, strength and conditioning, along with teaching has given him to many rewards to mention. Golf is his passion, he works out, and cruising the Columbia River in his ski boat is probably the most relaxing thing to do on earth for him. He has completed a Masters in Teaching through GCU, and has completed his Administration Masters. He has done both in the online learning format! His family consists of a daughter, son, and a very understanding wife.
Shelly Jelsing has over 10 years as a Fitness teacher at Wenatchee High School. Her family is her husband Pete who is also a teacher at WHS and children Jalen, Jamison and Jurney. Mrs. Jelsing teaches Fitness 3 and Fitness 2 as well as Adapted Physical Education at WHS and enjoys working with students. Mrs. Jelsing loves to be active, hike, play sports, walk or ride the loop trail, spend time with family and friends and go wakeboarding and boating on the Columbia, Lake Chelan, or Conconully at the family cabin. Mrs. Jelsing is a Gonzaga University graduate and loves watching Gonzaga basketball. She also finished her Masters in Teaching at Grand Canyon University in 2002.
