The purpose of Careers After School is to connect students and their support network with our local business community. Through education, engagement, and exposure to multiple career options, students are better equipped to make deliberate decisions about their future career goals. Careers After School provides an opportunity to students to go behind the scenes at area businesses and explore careers through hands-on experiences.

Students:
We believe that there are multiple pathways to career achievement and it is necessary that students are provided a wide variety of career exploration opportunities.

Parents:
It is crucial for parents to feel equipped in navigating their students’ future. When provided education on post-secondary career options, parents can create a strong foundation of support for their student.

Business:
Connecting students to our local business community initiates a mutually beneficial relationship that gives businesses the opportunity to actively engage with the workforce of tomorrow, laying the groundwork for future success.

Teachers:
Teachers have the opportunity to engage with the subjects they teach outside of the classroom, in different career environments. Teachers are encouraged to bring that knowledge and engagement back to their students.

Community:
The interest of residents, business, government, educators, and the not-for-profit sector are inextricably bound together. All have a stake in our students’ success
