Computer Technology & Programming

Course Description

This course gives you the foundation for success in taking various Industry Standard certification tests. It also gives you exposure to programming and other technologies relevant to potential employment in Tech Support, Robotics, Coding, Programming, Drones & CAD programs.  Specifically, we work on:

  • Java programming course based upon UofW’s “Intro to Programming”
  • Installing Windows OS and Networking leading to various Microsoft Certifications
  • Understanding of computer hardware and maintenance to pass the A+ Hardware exam
  • Using various CAD software to build and print physical 3D objects
  • Building, wiring and programming robots and drones
  • Making basic programming for robotics and drones, including flying procedures

College Credits can be earned through a Tech Prep articulation with Wenatchee Valley College. This is available to students who complete the entire two-year program at Wenatchee Valley Tech with a B or better grade.

UPDATE: The first portion of this class is AP course in Java programming currently taught through TEALS and industry experts remotely.
