I am Julie Robinson, MN, RN, School Nurse Lead for the Wenatchee School District. I am responsible for the Castle Rock Preschool (Tuesday), Valley Academy of Learning, Wenatchee Valley Tech Center (Wednesday), Foothills Middle School (Thursday/Friday). After graduating from Pacific Lutheran University (in 1984), with my nursing degree, I began working at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital (in Tacoma) in their Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. I stayed on at Mary Bridge - in many varied nursing roles as a nurse educator, and eventually as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, after completing my Master’s degree at University of Washington. I enjoyed my work providing primary care to children; collaborating with other professionals as part of our Neonatal Follow-up Clinic, and later serving as a case manager for our Developmental/Behavioral Clinic. After moving to Wenatchee, I focused on raising our three young children (who are now adults!). When I considered returning to work, I knew that I needed to work with children, so school nursing was a natural choice. I love the opportunity to work with children and their families. I am committed to helping students stay healthy, so they can stay in school - ready to learn. I am also honored to work with such amazing school nurses, and school staff every day!
