State Board of Education Community Forum

May 7

5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Wenatchee School District Main Board Room

Do you provide learning supports or training to adults through coaching, mentoring or consultation? Or, do you care deeply about early childhood education and the work surrounding professional development for ECE providers? We need your expert insight to support this important work in the early childhood education field with updated professional development competencies.

We invite you to participate in a community forum hosted by the State Board of Education in Wenatchee on May 7th from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served at the beginning of the meeting.

We will:

Share the State Board of Education legislative and strategic plan priority to expand access to affordable, high-quality early childhood education.

Share the Department of Children, Youth, and Families vision for relationship-based professionals.

Invite you to review and provide feedback through small group discussions on the Relationship-based Professional Development Competencies - a document that attempts to capture the foundational knowledge and skills essential to impactful relationship-based work.

We hope you, and others interested in relationship-based learning, will attend. Please extend this invitation to early learning coaches, mentors, home-visitors, reflective supervisors, and anyone who uses a relationship as the primary mechanism for building skills in adults. If you are able to attend, please RSVP by May 3.

The forum will be held at the Wenatchee School District: Main Board Room.

235 Sunset Ave.

Wenatchee, WA 98801

If you have any questions regarding this forum, please contact Alissa.Muller@k12.wa.us. We hope you will join us for this important discussion!
