Welcome to another exciting action filled year at Lincoln Elementary School! Lincoln’s mission is “Learning and Growing Together to Assure Success For All.” As we head into the 2016/2017 school year, Lincoln continues to work towards achieving success for all students. Success in learning how to better work and have fun together with their peers and the adults. Success in knowing, understanding and accomplishing the learning standards that get them ready for the next school year and life-long learning.

The staff has committed to work more closely together so that all students can get the support they need to grow and achieve. Our desire is that all students will get the support or enrichment they need to be most successful: The struggling get an extra shot, as well as those meeting or exceeding standard will have the opportunity to drill deeper into what they are learning.

“Success for ALL” can’t happen without your communication and involvement. Our desire is that each of you will feel welcome as you become involved with your child's educational experiences at Lincoln this school year. Parent communication with the school staff is very important. Please don't hesitate to contact your child's teacher, the office staff, or myself, whenever you have a question or concern. I hope you will make the choice to take part in your children's education by inquiring about their time spent at school. Ask about their friends and teachers. Get involved as they complete their homework or seek your help on special projects. Encourage your children to read every night and work on developing their Math strategies and basic skills. I am confident that your child will demonstrate greater motivation as you continue to show interest in their academic and social experiences. We will certainly work on our end to provide your child with the best education possible.

We have a great Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and would encourage you to get involved. Lincoln’s PTA provides many exciting events and important support to all of our students. I would encourage you to join the PTA team and become an active member.
