CHANGES TO STATE UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS PROCESS
As you may have heard, all public universities in Washington State, along with some private colleges, have agreed to be test optional. This means that they will no longer require students to submit SAT or ACT scores for admissions or scholarship consideration. This is a major shift in the traditional process and we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the changes in order to make an informed decision regarding whether to have your student take one of these exams. Attached is a copy of the statement issued by Washington State universities. When in doubt, we'd encourage you to contact universities directly or visit their websites. If you have any questions, feel free to contact your student's counselor.
