Registration Now Open for Wenatchee Valley Professional Development Summit

Summit to Convene Employers, Employees and Youth to Sharpen Soft Skills and Customer Service.

Registration is now open for the 2018 Wenatchee Valley Professional Development Summit. The themes of the second annual summit are optimizing soft skills and customer service.

The summit will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Wenatchee Valley Convention Center. Registration is $50 per person and $25 for each additional registration from the same business. Registration is available online at or by calling (509) 662-2116.

The summit will feature local speakers and panelists from healthcare, retail, hospitality, non-profit, marketing and government. Keynote speakers include, Kevin Parker, owner of Dutch Bros. Spokane, former 6th District State Representative and leadership lecturer in the Gonzaga and Whitworth University MBA programs; and Reimi Marden, founder of the Winning Edge, a Las Vegas based image consulting, a coaching and corporate training firm for the hospitality and entertainment industries, and training consultant for world-renown Dale Carnegie Courses.

“We are very excited about the level of enthusiasm we have received from speakers and our community about a focus on soft skills and customer service at the summit,” said Diana Haglund, coordinator for Wenatchee Learns Connect and one of the summit organizers. The speakers at the summit represent employers in our valley that are leading the way in service and personal skills development. The summit provides them a platform to share strategies and best practices with employers, employees and high school students. “We look forward to offering a substantive home-grown training experience that leverages the talent and expertise of local leaders,” said Haglund.
