Guys & Guts: Hands on Healthcare Careers for men

Guys and Guts is a hands-on career exploration experience for 8th-grade boys in the Wenatchee School District to discover careers in healthcare.

This exciting event will be held May 7, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on the Wenatchee Valley College campus.

Boys will have the opportunity to test drive a variety of careers as they travel through seven interactive stations.

Employment of healthcare occupations is projected to grow 18 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations, adding about 2.4 million new jobs. Healthcare occupations are projected to add more jobs than any of the other occupational groups. The goal of Guys and Guts is to expose boys to the exciting career opportunities available in this growing sector and to also promote non-traditional career pathways for men in areas such as nursing.
