Thanks to our Generous Community

People stopped by Orchard Middle School today donating items for the victims of the fire.

Principal Taunya Brown said the supplies are not only for people who lost their homes in the fire, but also for people who are now out of work because of the businesses that burned, Michelsen Packaging, Northwest Wholesale, Stemilt Growers and Blue Bird

Kids and staff volunteered their time to collect the supplies. The drive was spearheaded by Orchard Librarian Rosemary Wulf.

It was great to see the generosity of the community and the students and adults who gave their time to collect the donations. Over $2500 in cash and almost $2000 in gift cards were donated along with a whole truck load of drinks, clothes, and toiletries! Thanks Orchard Middle School for organizing this effort.

All items will be taken to the Salvation Army, Red Cross, Humane Society, Serve Wenatchee Valley, and the NCW Community Foundation for further distribution. Your generosity and support is appreciated!
