Fire Science

The Fire Science Program teaches structural firefighting and prepares students to take the Washington State Firefighter 1 Exam.  Student fire recruits are issued full modern fire protective gear, and participate in extended learning experiences at local fire stations and training facilities.  The Course is guided by the “Essential of Firefighting” course book, and is taught through a combination of lecture/powerpoint presentation, hands-on training, physical fitness regimen, guest speakers, and real-world scenarios.
