NextGenTech: VR, AI and MobileApps

Take your passion and tech skills into the emerging tech.

Create VR (virtual reality) tours and adventures using ViveXR headsets, 360 cameras, and the Unity game engine.

 

Use AI (artificial intelligence) in emerging ways to create art, programming, and numerous other ways.

 

Create games for Windows and iOS using Unity and GoDot game engines.  Move your ideas into various platforms and publish them for your friends and family to download.  Download and play student-created Windows-based games: Delivery Driver, Quiz Master, and Snowboader.

Learn the foundations of programming with Java in a platform that parallels the University of Washington’ initial programming class.  Each week you’ll be meeting online with engineers who’ve worked for Microsoft, Nvidea, DataDog, and Otterbox.Check OUT our recent articles in the Wenatchee World and Inside Wenatchee Schools and our trip to the TEALS convention in Bellevue.  Here's how this course is a fast-tracked Pathway to real high demands jobs.

Get industry standard certifications recognized across the IT industry with CompTia courses in A+ Hardware and Software, Networking+ and Cybersecurity+.  We’ve had students pass all these courses!  Some students have started working part-time evenings and weekends in the IT industry while still in high school.

   

 

Use your digital art skills to create 2D sprites for gaming and Blender for complex 3D gaming assets and for 3D printing parts and game pieces.

    

The DETAILS:  This course is offered at the Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center for ALL high school age students 9th through 12th grades.  There are two offering times: AM is 8:45 - 11:25am and PM is 12:35 - 3:05pm for the 2025-26 school year.
