Hybrid Return to Learn Secondary Parent Survey

Desk with paper and pencil

The District is currently developing plans to transition middle and high school students back to our buildings for hybrid learning (in-person/online). It is our intent to resume hybrid learning for secondary schools at the start of the 2nd semester on January 26, 2021. This decision aligns with our process throughout the pandemic to use a purposeful, structured approach that places the safety of students and staff at the forefront of our thinking.

This date is subject to change based on the rates of COVID during and after winter break. We will continue to partner with the Chelan Douglas Health District to monitor infection rates in our community.

There are many logistics that have to be considered and addressed to safely return secondary students to our buildings, especially given the large size of the student population at these schools. Logistics include, but are not limited to maintaining social distancing, transportation, cohort grouping, and student schedules.

We are still evaluating which hybrid learning model will work best for students at this time. We’re asking for your help in this process by completing a brief survey on transportation needs and your intent to return your child(ren) to school for hybrid learning.

Your responses are critical to helping us determine which model is most feasible given our available resources.

Survey ends November 12.
