Girls Fastpitch Softball
General Information: Practices start on Monday April 13th after school at Foothills Middle School. Softball is for 7th and 8th graders only.
Athlete Responsibilities: Students must complete all athletic paperwork through our Online Clearance Process before they are allowed to practice. Athletes must provide their own athletic shoes and mitt. 8 practices are required before athlete can compete in a match. Student-Athletes must be passing all classes to compete in league and in-district games.
When is practice: Teams usually practice daily 3:40 - 5:15 PM at Foothills Middle School. Transportation will be provided for OMS and PMS players. Players will need to be picked up at Foothills Middle School upon the completeion of practice.
When are games: Team will compete in 8-10 league contacts, generally on Monday and Wednesdays starting at 4:00 PM.
Transportation to Practice: There will be a bus that leaves WHS/Bus Barn area everyday around 3:30 pm or as close to that as possible. PMS students need to walk over right after school and be ready to load the bus.
All players need to be picked up at FMS as the bus is a drop off only.
Games
For games going north, the bus will start at PMS, then stop at OMS and then pick up FMS before heading to the game site;
For games going south, the bus will start at FMS, then stop at OMS and then pick up PMS before heading to the game site;
All students will be dropped at FMS upon the return. This is necessary for supervision reasons.
Team Pictures: Team pictures are TBD after school at Foothills MS for all grade levels. Information will be given to students the week of pictures.
