Wenatchee Athletics celebrated our teams who won their district championships this fall and advanced to state: girls' soccer, swim & dive, and volleyball! Wenatchee Athletics is so proud of the hard work and commitment these ladies have put in throughout the fall sports season. Way to go, ladies - way to show off our Panther Power!
Swim & Dive
The WHS swim and dive team dominated their district meet, with Sadie Sullivan taking home Swimmer of the Meet and Lily Hansen being awarded Big 9 Diver of the Year! Congratulations to the WHS divers who swept their district podium: Maile England (1st) Lily Hansen (2nd) Joyce Hartsig (3rd).
Both the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay teams placed 1st, and the swimmers did extremely well in their individual events:
- 200 Free - Lindsay Sutton (1st)
- 200 IM - Sophia Wilgus (6th)
- 50 Free - Marieka Campbell (2nd) Lily Hansen (8th)
- 100 Free Sadie Sullivan (1st) Maddie Moore (7th)
- 500 Free Norah Endsley (7th)
- 100 Back Lindsay Sutton (1st) Maddie Moore (4th)
- 100 Breaststroke - Sadie Sullivan (1st) Marieka Campbell (3rd) Vienna Gallie (6th)
Girls’ Soccer
The girls soccer team secured their 4th consecutive district championship this year, defeating Eastmont 2-0. Let’s go, Panthers!!
Congratulations to the Panthers who were awarded All Conference honors this season, including Madison Norton (Big 9 Defensive Player of the Year) and Coach Ashton Kirkpatrick (Big 9 Coach of the Year).
Volleyball
Panther Volleyball brought home their 5th consecutive district championship this year, after defeating Davis in three rounds! Congratulations on a fantastic season, ladies, and a special shoutout to Rylee Jones for being named Big 9 Player of the Year!
