Slowpitch softball senior Lily Staat was selected as one of WIAA's week 6 Athletes of the Week!
The WIAA is Washington state's high school sports governing body and selects students from across the state each week to recognize for their outstanding performances and impactful contributions in their communities. See the full list of recognized athletes at the WIAA website. Here's what they wrote about Lily:
"Senior first baseman Lily Staat had a dominant week at the plate, going 4-for-5 with six RBIs against Davis on October 7, hitting for the cycle with a triple, double, single, and inside-the-park home run. She finished the night with eight RBIs, helping lead Wenatchee to two key league wins. On the season, Staat is batting .541 with an .821 slugging percentage and leads the team with 20 RBIs."
