We Value Your Input – Take the Superintendent Search Survey

Wenatchee School District has begun the search for a new superintendent. In August 2019, Superintendent Brian Flones will leave the district after 19 years of distinguished and successful leadership. The school board, in collaboration with our community, will identify the qualities needed in a new superintendent who can lead the district in equity, excellence, and innovation.

Staff, students, parents, and the community are invited to participate in the superintendent selection process by sharing their input through an online survey now through November 1.

The purpose of the survey is to collect feedback from stakeholders about the leadership qualities, expertise, and experiences that matter most in a superintendent. Input gathered through the survey will be used to help define the position profile and desired selection criteria for an ideal candidate.

Over the next several weeks, there will also be opportunities for staff, students, parents, and community members to have input into the superintendent search process through participation in stakeholder meetings. A community forum is scheduled for Tuesday, October 23 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Wenatchee High School is the LGI.

The School Board has contracted with Hazard, Young, Attea Associates (HYA), a national educational search firm, to facilitate the survey, conduct stakeholder meetings and to carry out an extensive search for the next WSD Superintendent.
