Valley Academy of Learning

Serving Area Families Since 1997

Overview:

Valley Academy is a family-friendly public school that provides a range of educational options and supports for Kindergarten-8th grade students either living within the Wenatchee School District attendance area or choiced in from nearby areas.  Families can choose from part or full-time enrollment. All students are assigned a certificated teacher with whom they and their parents meet regularly. Parents play an active role in their child’s education; both on campus and at home. Valley Academy was designated a 2017 Washington School of Distinction, marking the second year the school has received this designation.

History:

Valley Academy began in the Fall of 1997 and was housed for three years in the Ballard Building on N. Wenatchee Ave. For the next five years, the school moved to the former Presbyterian Church on Chelan Ave. Since then we have been located at 1911 N. Wenatchee Ave. Valley Academy is proud of the work we have put in and the success we have enjoyed.

Success:

Valley Academy students have made gains in reading, writing, and science test results over the last few years. Many students access the Skills Center and the Running Start program at Wenatchee Valley College after they leave Valley Academy and some enter area high schools. Typically these students experience success in their coursework and come back to share their appreciation for what they learned here. School climate surveys have indicated that students, staff, and parents felt very safe on campus.

Future:

We look forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of children and their families.
