Enrollment for the 2026-27 School Year

Families of incoming Kindergarteners and any students not currently enrolled should complete our online Interest Survey, available on the Valley Academy website beginning February 1 at 12:01 AM.

Enrollment Process

Note: Enrollment is closed for the 2025–26 school year. The process below applies to 2026–27.

Step 1: Submit the Valley Academy Interest Form

When the form becomes available (see “Enrollment Timeline”), complete it to be added to our waitlist. 26/27 Valley Academy Interest Form

Step 2: Attend a New Family Meeting

After submitting the interest form, you will receive an invitation to attend a new family meeting. At this meeting you’ll learn about our programs, ask questions, and hear more about expectations in our Parent-Partnered program.

Step 3: Confirm Your Decision

If Valley Academy is the right fit for your family—welcome!
If you live outside the district, please complete the Out-of-District Choice Request.

Step 4: Complete New Student Online Enrollment

Submit the district’s WSD New Student Online Enrollment form. You will need to upload an image of:

• Your child’s birth certificate
• Proof of address (PUD, waste management, electric bill, or lease agreement)

If you have questions about acceptable proof of address, please call the Valley Academy office at 509-662-6417.

Please note: Completing the choice form and registration form does not guarantee enrollment but is required for consideration.

Step 5: Course Forecasting & Orientation

A school representative will help determine appropriate courses for your student.
Once enrolled, students will be assigned courses and must attend:

• Student Orientation (on campus)
• New Family Orientation in the fall before school begins
• WSLP Meeting to set up program for Valley Academy.

How Enrollment Decisions Are Made

Each program and grade level has a set capacity based on staffing and space. Enrollment decisions are made according to the following criteria:

1. Students with a current sibling (same address) enrolled at Valley Academy
2. All other students, called in the order they appear on the waitlist

Enrollment Timeline

Interest Form Available

February 1 – April 30, 2026
Families may express interest in enrolling a new student by completing the interest form on our website.

Initial Enrollment Decisions

May 1 – May 15, 2026
We will notify families whose child(ren) are eligible to enroll for the 2026–27 school year.

Additional Enrollment Decisions

August 2026
If space remains in any program or grade level, we will contact families who were not part of the initial enrollment group.

Any student not enrolled by September 14, 2026 must reapply in 2027. Reapplication is not automatic.

Enrollment Closed

September 15, 2026 – March 31, 2027
No interest list will be available, and no new enrollments will be accepted during this time.

New Interest List Opens

January 10, 2027
The new interest survey for the 2027–28 school year will be available.
