WRITING ON THE WALL IN PHOTOSHOP


Learning the concept of PERSPECTIVE is an important concept of art.

STEP #1

FIRST THING: Click Here and find a picture of a wall receding into the distance using Google Images. Makes sure it's over 1000 pixels.

Hold the CONTROL KEY, and select COPY IMAGE.

Open Photoshop, choose FILE>NEW, click OK, then EDIT>PASTE.


STEP #2

Choose a Font!

Select the Type Tool or hit the keyboard shortcut (t)

… drag a box and type something.


STEP #3

Select Your Text!

Click on the FONT on the menu bar.
Find a FONT and SIZE you like and select it.

STEP #4

Rasterize Your Text!

Hold the CONTROL BUTTON, click on your TEXT LAYER, and choose RASTERIZE TYPE.


STEP #5

Transform Your Text!

Go to: EDIT>FREE TRANSFORM or hit the keyboard shortcut: Command(⌘)+T 

Hold the COMMAND button and grab a corner and pull.

PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEXT SEVERAL PICTURES AND INSTRUCTIONS!

When you have pulled ALL corners and gotten the perspective effect you want, hit RETURN or ENTER.

Make sure the PERSPECTIVE of the letters follows the wall's lines:

STEP #6

Blending Mode!

Set the Blending Mode to Overlay so you can see through it a bit.

 

From your program, go to FILE>SAVE AS and choose DESKTOP,
then drag from the DESKTOP to GOOGLE DRIVE and the Correct Class Folder.

Save your final file in Google Classroom.
Just add the file from Google Drive.
