Automotive Technology

Course Description

The Automotive Technology program is a preparatory course, which provides students with "Real World" skills. Located on campus at Wenatchee Valley Tech, the modern, well-lit 15,000 sq. ft. shop & classroom area contains the latest in vehicles and equipment. The shop boasts 10 hoists, computerized wheel alignment machine, tire mounting and balancing machines, valve and seat grinding equipment as well as the latest in hand held meters, scan tools and lab scopes. The shop contains 17 individual Snap-On tool cabinets as well as a specialty tool room. 

The Automotive Technology program is NATEF (National Automotive Technician Education Foundation) certified. As a NATEF certified program, this program has access to certified curriculum, vehicle and donations from various manufacturers and support from more than 300 other schools in 45 states. All of this is at no cost to the student! The only thing a student needs is a desire to learn, a pair of safety glasses and some coveralls. 

Seven (7) College credits can be earned through the Tech Prep articulation with Wenatchee Valley College if a student completes the entire two-year program at Wenatchee Valley Tech with a B+ or better grade.

Automotive Repair Services to the General Public:

Due to Insurance Liability limitations, our students in the Automotive Technology program may only complete the following types of repairs for the general public:

Oil Changes, Replacement of Wiper Blades, Light Bulbs, Tires Repairs, Belts & Hoses.
