CAP - Credit Acceleration Program

Course Description

Wenatchee Valley Tech & WestSide High School have teamed up to offer you an alternative high school graduation program that is uniquely tailored to meet the individual needs of each student and their graduation requirements. Progress is determined by mastery, so that each student works at his/her individual pace. The program is designed to graduate students on time or early. Each student will be working on two academic subjects at all times; usually one online course and one paper/pencil course. The narrowed focus allows students to work in a more concentrated effort and complete a class every month. This also allows students who are struggling in one subject area to continue to excel in another area and it allows students to complete classes at an accelerated pace. Students who enroll in this program are WestSide students and must also be enrolled in a regular Wenatchee Valley Tech program. Participants in this program are required to CHOICE into the Wenatchee School District and graduate from WestSide High School.

If you are interested in applying to the CAP class, discuss your plans with your high school counselor, then contact WestSide High School directly for an application packet. Students are usually accepted into the program twice each month.
