Construction Trades
Course Description
The Construction Trades program includes field trips to commercial & residential job sites, building materials business, roof truss plant, a concrete plant, and others. Hands on projects include residential home construction, Habitat for Humanity, other community projects, Tiny House construction and sheds. Each day is filled with practical hands-on activities designed to build construction skills and knowledge. Students are encouraged to develop initiative, respect and hard work, along with carpentry competencies that include construction jobsite safety, residential framing, concrete, roofing, sheet rock and insulation. Students may work toward and receive a 1st & 2nd year Certificate of Completion as part of this course, and
may work off-site for a construction company in our Work Studies Program.
Construction Services to the General Public:
Our Construction Trades crew provides many building and construction related services in the Valley - specializing in wood structure construction. They can travel to your home or business to complete the project.
