To be in compliance with WIAA Rule 22.2.1, "The deadline for determining district entries to state tournaments shall be midnight Saturday prior to the week of the state-level events." the Big 9 Conference has unanimously voted and has decided to move the Eastmont-Wenatchee football game from Friday, November 2 to Thursday, November 1 at 7:00 p.m.. The game will still be played at the Apple Bowl. This schedule change allows for a potential playoff game to be played on Saturday, November 3 at 7:00 PM at Lions Field in Moses Lake in case of a 3-way tie for league champions.
Through the vote the Big 9 Conference will have fully complied with the WIAA rule and will allow the qualifying team to be fairly considered by the 3A/4A selection committee for the State bracket that meets on Sunday, November 4 in Renton.
