2024 All-District Musical: Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Come join the WHS drama department and students across the district for a tasty treat of a show! Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is based on the famous novel of the same name and features an original score composed by Marc Shaiman with lyrics by Shaiman and Scott Wittman and a book by David Greig. The score includes songs from the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory starring Gene Wilder including "Candy Man" and "Pure Imagination."

Auditions

September 9th - 13th after school in the WHS Auditorium

Wenatchee School District students wishing to audition for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory can sign up at WHS starting at 3:30 pm on the appropriate day for their grade level.  Please bring a completed audition form and enter through the auditorium doors to sign up at the check-in table.  

Please arrive no earlier than 3:30 pm.  The audition process will begin at 3:45 pm.  

Monday, September 9: 2nd grade - 5th grade
Tuesday, September 10: 6th grade - 8th grade
Wednesday, September 11: 9th grade - 12th grade
Thursday, September 12 & Friday, September 13: Callbacks

The cast list will be announced and posted on Sunday, September 15, and rehearsals will begin on September 16.  

There will be a mandatory parent meeting for all cast parents on Tuesday, September 17, at 6 pm in the WHS auditorium.
