Janice Franz Talent Show April 14 - 16 at 7 pm

The Janice Franz Talent shows returns for its 24th year at Wenatchee High School.  ASB students, Greta Jarecki and Yareli Sanchez took on this challenging task as co-coordinators for this year's event during a difficult year.  Even though they had obstacles to overcome to make this happen, they never gave up.

ASB Advisor Danielle Schafer-Cloke stated Greta and Yareli organized "a super successful food drive this weekend to benefit the Women's Resource Center. They raised about $840 and collected A LOT of food on Saturday at both Safeway and Albertsons!"

Janice Franz is a student-organized talent show put on by the Wenatchee High School ASB that showcases local talent within the community. The money that is raised goes to a local organization or beneficiary.

The beneficiary of this year's event is the Women's Resource Center.  The show will run on April 14, 15 & 16 at 7 pm each night.  They will be able to sell 184 tickets for each performance.  The shows will also be available live stream.  ASB will be accepting donations of non-perishable food at the doors.

Tickets can be purchased for $15.00 at https://events.ticketspicket.com/agency/52a25d53-55dd-4560-8fb3-2bcf3a11ec0f

In the Wenatchee Valley, the Women’s Resource Center provides homes to 85 individuals who were all previously homeless at their Bruce Transitional Housing. The Center prioritizes housing families with children and all residents must earn 30 percent or less of the Area Median Income. The Center provides residents with a 2-year program that helps them make the transition out of homelessness. Resident meetings, participation in self-sufficient planning with case managers, completing chores, and abstaining from the use of drugs and alcohol are all requirements of living in the Women’s Resource Center.

Community members can help by donating to the Women’s Resource Center, donations assist in keeping their large operation running. Donations go directly towards keeping the lights on, heat running, food on the table, and members of their staff paid. Please use the link below to donate.
