Wenatchee High School Sports Medicine Celebrates Their 27th Consecutive Top 4 Finish Placing 3rd at the WCTSMA State Competition

The Wenatchee High School Sports Medicine team placed 3rd at the 27th Annual Washington Career and Technical Sports Medicine Association (WCTMSA) State Competition April 22-23 in Tacoma with 55 schools and over 600 students competing.  Wenatchee extended its state record streak to 27 consecutive years of top 4 or better finishes at the event.  Issaquah won the state championship with Mt. Spokane placing 2nd.

Edith Chamberlain was co-state champion in the Exercise Science category as a first-year sports medicine student.

Wenatchee placed four students in the top 20 in sports medicine category-  Lindsay Blakney 7th, Carly Sagerser 12th, Nick Duke 14th, and Freya Rolfs 19th.

The Wenatchee Anatomage team (Lindsay Blakney, Carly Sagerser, Nick Duke, Elyse Long, and Anna Russ) earned a 2nd place finish in a challenging, multi-round event.  Anatomage is a large video table with images of real human anatomy where the students have to identify several anatomical structures.

In the ankle taping competition, Nick Duke placed 2nd in the state.

Nora Hyde was selected through an interview process as a member of the WCTSMA Student Leadership Board.

Elora Neer placed 5th in the anatomy competition and Madison Fritz placed 5th in the JV Sports Medicine event.

The Panther Sports Medicine team qualified to compete at the AACI National Sports Medicine Competition in May.
