Meet the students working to shape the future of energy in NCW!
The first ever Intro to Energy Production & Management course at WHS just concluded, where students worked weekly with volunteers from the Chelan County PUD to develop projects using clean energy to meet strict production requirements. These students developed their project management skills and explored topics like land acquisition and permitting, while learning about different fields of clean energy.
Three student groups presented their final projects at the PUD headquarters for a community panel that included several PUD board members, Superintendent Kalahar, and Wenatchee Mayor, Mike Poirier. Fantastic work to the students who presented at the PUD and fielded questions about clean energy in the PNW and at large:
1st Team: Cody Dart, Thomas Hursh
