NCW Tech & STEM Showcase Shares Student Work

Giga Watt is the presenting sponsor for the 6th annual NCW Tech and STEM Showcase on Saturday, May 19th at Pybus Public Market. This event is the one of the only opportunities in the region for students and educators to connect with the community and publicly showcase their work in tech and STEM.

The NCW Tech & STEM Showcase features educators, students, and community partners, including North Central Regional Library and Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center, from across the region as they showcase how they integrate technology and STEM learning into the classroom.

This event continues to see growth every year. It started in 2013 with participation from one school district, and in 2017 five school districts participated including Wenatchee, Eastmont, Omak, Quincy, and Soap Lake.

This year, a record-breaking number of students and educators have registered to present. This regional event is open to all 29 school districts in the region and is free for the public to attend.

Dave Carlson, CEO of Giga Watt, is proud to support GWATA and the NCW Tech and STEM Showcase.

“Partnership with our local technology industry is important as we bring the connection from learning in the classroom to what it’s like in the workforce,” said Ron Brown, Director of Technology for Wenatchee School District, and President of GWATA, the NCW Technology Alliance. “We are grateful to have a partnership with industry leader Giga Watt and appreciate their advocacy for STEM education.”

The showcase includes tech demos, interactive displays, teachers, and students - making it a great event to bring the whole family. The event is at Pybus Market on May 19th from 9am -1pm, and is free to attend. Registration is not required but encouraged; prizes will be raffled at 12:00pm for those who registered online at ncwshowcase.eventbrite.com

Hope to see you there!
