Hour of Power

Hour of Power

Hour of Power

Building powerful literacy skills one hour at a time.

The Hour of Power program has been created by Wenatchee School District elementary teachers to empower families with fun and powerful activities they can do at home to strengthen their  students’ literacy skills.

Each week Hour of Power teachers will launch one hour’s worth of interactive activities and skills-based lessons in the form of entertaining games, ‘read alouds’ and play for students and families to engage in. Along the way, students will grow their confidence and skills in literacy, search for secret codes and be eligible for prizes by bringing their codes to school.

Activities are flexible and can be completed by families all at once or in small bite-sized amounts based on their schedules. Access weekly lessons and activities here.
