Conger

Haglund

Dennis Conger, CTE Director, and Diana Haglund, Wenatchee Learns Connect coordinator, have been named as WVC Heroes, and will be honored at the Wenatchee Valley College Foundation Gala on May 19. They are two of four “WVC Heroes” award recipients, along with Wyatt Hurd and Ed Phinney, who will be recognized for their commitment to the college.

The annual gala introduces community members to the positive impact of the college and recognizes foundation supporters. The event also includes a dinner, silent auction, and the presentation of awards.
Earl Tilly will be presented with The Harvey Award, which is given to a past WVC Foundation board member or a community member who gives his or her service to the WVC Foundation and who shows passion for the college and its growth.

The Outstanding Friend of the College Award, which honors a person who’s made contributions to WVC through financial support, service, or a combination of both, is being presented to Peggy Ludwick.
The Distinguished Alumni of the Year award, being given to Malachi Salcido, recognizes outstanding achievements of alumni of Wenatchee Valley College.

The foundation gala will be held at 5 p.m. in Orchard Hall at the Wenatchee Convention Center. Tickets may be reserved at wvc.edu/foundation/gala or by calling 509-682-6416.
