Road Work Impacts During First Week of School

The City of Wenatchee will be chip sealing many of the arterials and collectors this week and into the next. They intend to complete the chip seal prior to the start of school, but the contractor had some delays due to equipment issues. Although they are trying to complete most of the heavy school routes this week, they will be chip sealing Orondo and Washington Streets the week school is back in session. The City is doing what they can to avoid construction during school commute times and ensure the safety of vehicles and pedestrians getting to and from school. 

Please allow for extra time when traveling on these days, be patient with slowdowns, and obey all construction signing and personnel to keep everyone safe.

8/27 - Easy, Horselake

8/28 - Orondo, Cherry, Washington

8/29 - Wenatchee, Cherry, Washington

8/30 - Western (Cherry to Springwater), Maple
