WHS Inside Sports Practices Canceled

Gov. Jay Inslee today announced a four-week statewide set of restrictions in response to the recent rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus in Washington and across the country. 

Wenatchee was poised to begin inside sports on Monday, November 16th. However, due to the imposed restrictions on youth sports, all indoor practices have been canceled for the following groups.

  • Volleyball
  • Boys and girls basketball
  • Boys and girls swim and dive
  • Cheer
  • Dance
  • Wrestling
  • Bowling

Guidance issued by the Governor’s office states that all indoor [youth and adult sporting activities] activities and all contests and games are prohibited. Outdoor activities shall be limited to intra-team practices only, with facial coverings required for all coaches, volunteers and athletes at all times.

The restrictions are statewide and will take effect Monday, November 16 at 11:59 PM and will remain in effect until Monday, December 14
