As part of an ongoing effort to support the health and wellness of our students, staff, and families Wenatchee School District is pleased to announce the next Well Being Project webinar: Building the Social-Emotional Foundation to Elevate the Whole Child
The live webinar will take place on March 16 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and focuses on deepening understanding of social and emotional learning and effective strategies to regulate emotions. The goal of the webinar is the help equip participants in building foundational knowledge and skills to support the whole child, not just part.
The webinar will feature Dr. Elizabeth Dexter-Mazza a certified DBT therapist and co-author of the DBT STEPS-A social-emotional learning curriculum for middle and high school students. Dr. Dexter-Mazza will share information from her DBT Skills in Schools: Skills Training for Emotional Problem Solving (DBT STEPS-A) social-emotional learning curriculum taught in schools around the world. Dr. Dexter-Mazza is a licensed psychologist and owner of both Mazza Consulting & Psychological Services, LLC and DBT in Schools, LLC. She provides training and consultation to mental health providers and schools internationally.
