February is National Career & Technical Education Month

National CTE Month takes place each February to celebrate CTE, the accomplishments of CTE programs, and the importance of CTE for all students of all ages. Career and technical education offers students the opportunity to gain the academic, technical, and employability skills necessary for true career readiness. Students in career and technical education programs participate in authentic, meaningful experiences that improve the quality of their education and increase their engagement and achievement. CTE provides students with career exploration opportunities earlier in their educational experience, which enables them to make informed and beneficial decisions about their academic coursework and pursue established programs of study and career pathways.

Over the last several years, Wenatchee School District’s CTE programs have expanded course offerings and experiences at both the high school and middle school levels. With CTE and career-connected learning, Wenatchee students can explore their interests and plan for their futures.
