45th Annual Regional High School Art Show and 20th Annual Beauty of Bronze Opens at the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center

The 45th Annual Regional High School Art Show will open on First Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center. Visitors will be able to view artwork from students in Chelan, Douglas, Grant and Okanogan Counties and have an opportunity to vote on their favorite for the People’s Choice Awards. Guests will also be able to see sculpture pieces from the 20th Annual Beauty of Bronze. Don Collins, Guest Curator of Exhibits, says, “The next generation of artists has arrived! These two exhibits, The Regional High School Art Show and Beauty of Bronze, celebrate young artists throughout NCW, their diverse ideas, skills, and creative journey.”

Winners will be recognized in eight categories: Drawing, Mixed Media, 3-Dimensional, Printmaking, Painting, Photography, Graphic Arts/Design, and Decorative Arts. The judges will also choose a number of Best of Show works to move on to the Annual Superintendent’s High School Art Show held in Olympia, March 22nd through May 28th. There will also be three People’s Choice Awards presented at the end of the exhibit. A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 16 from 1-3 PM. In addition
to the award categories, Central Washington University will award scholarships.

The Beauty of Bronze program allows children the opportunity to enhance their learning, cultivate an appreciation for sculpture, all while creating art in the community. The Beauty of Bronze Board of Directors are grateful for the ongoing support provided by schools, parents, local organizations, and the community.
Both the Regional High School Art Show and Beauty of Bronze will run from Friday, March 1st to
Saturday, April 6th. For more information, call the museum at 509-888-6240 or visit
