Wenatchee AD Jim Beeson Inducted into Alaska School Activities Association Hall of Fame

Jim Beeson, the Wenatchee Athletic Director, has been honored with induction into the Alaska School Activities Association Hall of Fame Class of 2024. The induction ceremony took place in Anchorage on Sunday, May 5th. He was recognized for his outstanding coaching career in basketball, football, and track & field at Kenai Central High School. Beeson's impressive winning record and his unwavering commitment to high ethical standards and integrity throughout his career earned him this prestigious honor.

The Hall of Fame was established to acknowledge individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of interscholastic athletics and activities in the State of Alaska, making it a highly coveted award for coaches and athletes alike.

"It is a very humbling experience and one that many people had a hand in," said Beeson. He also expressed gratitude to his mentors, assistant coaches, talented kids, parents, and supportive community and how blessed he was to have utilized all of these resources. Beeson's complete bio can be found on the Alaska School Activities Association website. Congratulations to Jim Beeson on this well-deserved recognition of his achievements and contributions to high school athletics.

Jim will retire from the Wenatchee School District in June after a ten-year career leading Wenatchee Panther Athletics. During his tenure in Wenatchee, he was named the District 6 Athletic Director of the Year for 4A schools in 2018 and Big 9 Athletic Director of the Year in 2017.
