WSD Students Among Technology Innovator Award Finalists

Student AEM interns react to the announcement that they've been selected as finalists for the NCW Tech Alliance's Future Technology Leader Award.

Fifteen finalists have been announced for the 23rd Annual Innovator Awards Luncheon hosted by the NCW Tech Alliance. The event will take place on November 5 at the Wenatchee Convention Center and aims to celebrate innovation in North Central Washington.

Among the finalists, the AEM Energy Champions from Wenatchee High School have been recognized in the Future Technology Leader of the Year (K-12) category. The students include Aaden Juarez, Gael Nunez Sanchez, Isabella Garcia, Marisol Nava Araujo, Nathan Vargas, Sloane Eppich Talbot, Stephanie Salgado Ontiveros, and Ximena Guerra Carillo. Additionally, Elise Mann from WestSide High School is also a finalist in this category. 

Winners in the education category will receive scholarships to support their educational or classroom initiatives. The event, scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will feature an exhibitor viewing starting at 11:00 a.m. Tickets are available for purchase on www.ncwtech.org/innovators, priced at $40 for NCW Tech Alliance members and $55 for non-members.

David Mabee, Marketing Director at NCW Tech Alliance, emphasized the significance of the event, stating, "This year's finalists represent the diverse and dynamic spirit of innovation, education, and entrepreneurship that defines North Central Washington."

The winners will be revealed live on stage during the luncheon, an event that has become a hallmark in the region for recognizing individuals and companies driving innovation and making a significant impact on and in their communities. Read more
