WSD Bus Drivers Lasoo State Road-e-o Competition Spot

Wenatchee School District bus drivers Penny Talbot and Stephanie Radway-Harding earned top-three finishes at the Regional Road-e-o, qualifying them for the Washington Association for Pupil Transportation State Road-e-o in Kennewick on June 29, 2025. Their strong performance at the regional event in late April, held at the Sunnyside Transportation Department, saw fellow WSD driver Patti Hays also compete and place fourth.

The regional competition rigorously assessed drivers' abilities through challenging obstacle courses, emphasizing safety and precision in tasks like navigating confined areas and executing passenger pickups. Talbot and Radway-Harding's qualification means they will represent the Wenatchee School District Transportation Department at the state competition, facing top school bus drivers from across Washington. Their participation highlights the district's dedication to safety and the exceptional skill of its transportation staff.
