SROs Coordinate Annual "Stuff the Bus" Food Drive to Help District Families

The big yellow school bus is trading its student passengers for a cargo of non-perishable food items this November as the Wenatchee School District School Resources Officers host the annual Stuff the Bus food drive. This community tradition invites the Wenatchee Valley to fill an entire school bus with non-perishable food items to support Wenatchee School District families during Thanksgiving.

The drive is a critical component of Operation Turkey Drop, ensuring WSD students and their families who face food insecurity have the resources needed for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Last year, SROs collected enough food to prepare 75 meal boxes for families.

Look for the big yellow school bus, and please help us fill it to the brim!

Where and When to Donate:

This year's "Stuff the Bus" collection event will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM outside the Wenatchee Walmart. District School Resource Officers (SROs) and volunteers will be on hand to load the donations.
