North Cascades Bank Gives $2,000 Technology Grant to Lincoln 4th Grade Classrooms

North Cascades Bank has awarded Wenatchee Learns Connect a $2,000 technology grant to purchase hardware that will assist in the delivery of the EverFi Vault financial literacy course in 4th grade classrooms at Lincoln Elementary.  
 
Financial literacy is a key to helping students become college and career ready. Building a foundation early in a student's academic career is an important step in that process. The EverFi Vault is a web-based interactive learning course specifically designed to introduce financial education to elementary students.  The course consists of six 20-30 minute modules and uses the latest in new-media technologies to bring complex financial concepts to life for today’s digital generation. Plus, it's a lot of fun!

As part of the grant partnership North Cascades Bank will host a student field trip to one of their Wenatchee locations. Students will get an inside look at the real bank vault, meet bank staff and see how banks operate. Every student that completes the EverFi Vault course will have the opportunity to open a free savings account with North Cascades Bank with a free $10 deposit made by the bank.
