The Wenatchee School District's Nutrition Services team will temporarily stop the use of salad bars as a precautionary measure to avoid the spread of illness. Instead, they will offer a rotation of fruit and vegetables during service and with entrees. To provide timely service and best accommodate the flow of service, fruits and vegetables will be served on trays as part of the standard meal service. Students can decline any of these items as they move through the line.
Additionally, pre-packaged spork utensil kits will be made available instead of standard utensils. In the event of a school closure, alternative food services will be made available to ensure students have access to healthy meals. Nutrition Services is proud to do its part in maintaining a healthy and clean school environment as we navigate the spread of the COVID-19.
