Bilingualism and Biculturalism

In a world that keeps shrinking more and more, certain skills and professional preparation are a must to have. Our economically globalized world requires our students to be prepared with skills different from the skills that have been traditionally offered in our school system.

Bilingualism biculturalism, offers brain benefits and social advantages besides employment opportunities.

Mr. and Mrs. Talbot in Wenatchee understand this phenomenon, and they are making an effort to educate their children in a bilingual & bicultural way.

Their children have attended a school in The Wenatchee School District that prepares students in two languages, English and Spanish.

Joanna is the youngest of three children in this family. She is an avid reader and eager to learn Spanish as a second language. Her native language is English, but she continues learning Spanish. Without a doubt, with these skills, her future is bright!

En un mundo en que más y más se siguen acortando distancias, algunos habilidades y preparación professional son imperativas de tener. Nuestro mundo globalizado económicamente y en todos los aspectos require de estudiantes preparados de diferente manera y con habilidades y destrezas que tradicionalmente nuestro sistema educativo no ha ofrecido.

El bilingüalismo y biculturalismo tienen beneficios para nuestros cerebros y ventajas en el aspecto social además de las oportunidades de empleo.

Los señores Talbot en Wenatchee entienden este fenómeno y hacen el esfuerzo de educar a sus hijos de manera bilingüe y bicultural.

Sus hijos han asistido a la única escuela en el distrito escolar de Wenatchee que prepara los estudiantes en inglés y español.

Joanna, es la hija mas pequeña de esta familia. Ella es una ávida lectora y una estudiante que vehemente aprende español como su segundo idioma. Su language nativo es el inglés, pero ella continua aprendiendo español. Sin ninguna duda que con estas habilidades y destrezas su futuro es sencillamente.... brillante!
