Supporting the social and emotional well-being of people with healthy and supportive spaces by creating an environment where security measures feel welcoming, comforting, and supportive.

  • Room numbers above interior doors
  • Room numbers on exterior windows and doors
  • Identification badges are worn by all staff and visitors and have the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) on the back
  • Student Identification Badges are required by all students with up to date photos and SRP on the back
  • Access Control added to key exterior doors
  • Vestibules with intercoms added to entries
  • Health & Safety Sensors in Middle & High School restrooms
  • Automated External Defibrillators in all facilities
  • Stop the Bleed Kits in all facilities
  • Naloxone HCL (Narcan) nasal spray in all facilities.

Developing facilities and operations that reinforce equitable learning and opportunities by detecting and intervening in conflicts and bullying and empowering students to share their concerns.

  • SafeSchools reporting tool allows anonymous convenient reports of safety concerns.
  • Assigning key staff to monitor reports and follow up so students can trust that action will be taken.
  • Security staff emphasizes building supportive relationships so students feel comfortable sharing their concerns with a trusted adult.
  • Positive Behavioral Intervention Support (PBIS) and Multi-tiered Student Support System (MTSS).
  • Defined concerning behaviors that trigger intervention and support
  • Defined a threshold for law enforcement intervention.
  • Defined objectively concerning or prohibited behaviors.
  • Comprehensive Threat Assessment Program
