Career Clusters & Personalized Pathways

All Washington state students will identify a Career Cluster in their 8th grade year of middle school. A career cluster is a group of jobs and industries that are related by skills or products. The States' Career Clusters Initiative has established 16 career clusters that are recognizable across the United States in middle schools, high schools, community and technical colleges, and the workforce. As part of the High School and Beyond Plan, required of all Washington State graduates, students will meet with their counselors each year to discuss and updated their career clusters.
