All classes are taught on campus at Wenatchee High School.
CiHS classes are free of charge to WHS students.

Yes! There will be a designated Study Space for all CiHS students. Time in this space can be scheduled into a student's day or can be used on a drop-in basis.
Check out the Comparison Chart to compare and see which program is the best fit for you. Both CiHS and Running Start offer students the ability to earn college credit while working toward their high school diploma, but there are unique factors to each program.
Not necessarily. CiHS programs are flexible and work within the needs of each student. Students have a variety of options - including release time. Please refer to the Sample Class Schedules for examples.
All students have the opportunity to enroll in CiHS programs; however, the coursework and workload are equivalent to college courses. Students taking CiHS classes should come prepared to focus in class and put in college-level work!
There will be a process in place to check student progress at pre-determined points that align with college course drop dates. If a student is failing, a discussion will be had between the counselor, student, and family to decide if the student should remain in the class.
The decision may involve continuing in the college course while utilizing built-in high school support systems or changing the schedule back to high school level coursework.

Yes, at WHS. At Running Start, flexibility for absences is dependent on class and teacher policy.

There will be a date each semester for students and families to work with the College & Career Success team to choose to drop a college course and re-enroll in a high school level course.
WHS teachers are certified through the partner college or university. Running Start instructors are certified through Wenatchee Valley College.
All grades earned through CiHS and Running Start go on the student's high school and college transcripts.
Note! Students must earn a B or higher in CTE Dual Credit classes to earn college credit.
College coursework appears on the transcript for the college where the agreement is made. From there, transferring credits works the same as any college transferring credits to another.
Our College & Career Success team will be able to support students in the transition from WHS to their next destination to make sure families understand how to complete that process.
