Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center
The District has begun the process for the modernization of Buildings A and B at the Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center. This project aims to modernize and improve instructional space, accessibility, and safety features to support students in various programs.
RFQ: Progressive-Design Build Services - Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center Modernization Project

Wenatchee School District requests qualifications from Design-Builders for the Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center (WVTSC) Modernization Project using the procedure permitted under Chapter 39.10 of the RCW, as amended, for selected school projects for public works contracting in lieu of sealed bids. The project consists of the modernization of two existing buildings (A and B) on the WVTSC campus. The project construction budget is approximately $14.1 million. Design is anticipated to begin in September 2025. Construction is anticipated to begin in January 2026 and be completed by December 2026.
The Design-Builder shall provide high quality services including scheduling, phasing logistics, collaboration with the design consultants, manage and estimate design budgets and design contingency solutions, coordinate environmental and hazmat investigation services and plans, direct construction best-practices, organize design investigative work and provide assistance in the selection of materials and building systems, solicit and manage subcontractor bid packages and supplier bidding while providing high-quality construction services to safely deliver a superior project that comprises the full scope of program needs set by WSD that is on time and under budget.

Qualifications must be electronically submitted to Matt Piano at matt@kloshgroup.com no later than 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2025. Any firm failing to submit its qualifications in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Request for Qualifications may be considered non-responsive.

There will be a non-mandatory pre-proposal conference for this project on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, 2:00 p.m. The conference will be held at the Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center 327 Penny Rd # D, Wenatchee, WA 98801. The particulars of the project, the selection process, schedule, and the elements of the contract will be discussed at that time.
